Betfred League One Round Up | Round 15

There were some one-sided scorelines in Betfred League One this weekend and a clean sweep of home victories!

Goole Vikings made it third wins in a row in Round 15 after thrashing Whitehaven in a game which marked captain Brett Ferres’ 450th career appearance.

The red-hot hosts ran in eleven tries in a blistering performance, with hat-tricks for Ben Hodder, Neil Tchamambe, and Thomas Minns.

Josh Guzdek also crossed after a smart team move, while the man of the moment, Ferres, capped a special milestone with a try – and even slotted a conversion for good measure.

Meanwhile, Workington Town enjoyed a strong win over Midlands – a side who slumped to their third defeat in four matches.

Two late Town tries allowed the scoreline to run away with the hosts, as Andy Djeukessi and Zach Jebson crossed on the 75th and 78th minute.

Both teams are locked in on 17 league points each, with Town leapfrogging the Canes and moving into third.

Second-place Swinton enjoyed a fine performance against Newcastle, which included a Jayden Halton hat-trick.

Then, North Wales Crusaders kept their place at the top of the League One table with a victory over Dewsbury.

Patrick Ah Van, Lloyd Roby, Olly Davies and Sam Wilde were the scorers, as the Crusaders go four points clear at the top.
